At times, environmental services departments will encounter situations where they have a workforce shortage. Short Staff Assignments is a feature in ES Optimizer that allows the user to create short staffing assignments outside the normal assignment feature during such workforce shortages. The use of this feature does not affect existing personnel and staffing numbers.
This feature allows the user to combine duties from multiple assignments and print a temporary assignment for an employee.
