What If Applied by Room Type

Below are the steps for applying what if scenario by room type:

1.  Click on the What If button  to open the What If form and click on the Periodic tab to open the form below:

Note: you can use the reset button to clear entire form of previous entries.

2.  Select the What If Applied by Room Type option.

3.  Click on the ‘Select Room Types to make changes to’ button  to choose the room types (and therefore subsequent rooms) you want to update.  You will open the figure below:

Notice how the rooms types are listed and show the number of associated rooms that use such a room type.  Select one or more Room Types by clicking on the check boxes before the Room Type.

4.  Specify the original level of cleaning.

5.  Specify the new level of cleaning.

6.  If you wish to apply the changes to a specific set of rooms, click on ‘Select Rooms to Make Changes to’ button.

The dialog box below will open:

7.  Specify criteria for the rooms to update.  Click on the Find button  after specifying the criteria for the rooms.

If you wish to verify the rooms selected click on the View Filter button .

8.  Click on the Print What If Report button  to view a list of rooms potentially affected.  You will receive the figure below:

9.  You will be prompted with the figure below:

Answer the prompt.

10. If you are satisfied with the proposed changes, click on Execute Changes button  and ES Optimizer will set all the selected Rooms to proposed cleaning level.  To cancel, click on the Close button.
