Sending Messages to Other Users

The ES Optimizer Messaging System displays messages & user status from one ES Optimizer user to another or even from another facility in their database to another.  Messages are an important feature available in Service Optimizer as it provides for live two way communication.

Below are the steps to send messages:

1.  Click on Home Page button  to open the Home Page form:

2.  While in Home Page, the messages panel is on the right side:

3.  Click on the person you wish to send a message to (you will notice their name highlights) and then type your message to them in the message line at the bottom right hand corner of the message window.  You can set a priority of High, Medium, or Low and then click the Send button.  You will see your message in the window as shown below:

If the user is not using Service Optimizer they will be able to access the message the next time they login to ES Optimizer.  In the example above Steve Ellis has sent one message to the user logged in.

The status of the user is also displayed.  In the example above Phil Lee is “online” in ES Optimizer Mobile on an IPad and his name is Green.  If a Service Optimizer user was logged in and went on a work break their name would appear in blue.

4.  Replies from the user if using Service Optimizer can also be seen in the window as shown above.

5.  If you wish to communicate with a user outside of your facility who is in one of your sister facilities (within your database) you can tap the “All Facility” radio button and the messages will show all users from all facilities in your ES Optimizer system.
