Project Assignments Overview

To have a showplace facility, you must effectively manage your periodic/project work.  This section will illustrate how to accomplish this goal.

Duties that are performed less than or equal to once a week are considered "Periodic" or "Project."  As such, they should be scheduled in a vastly different manner than Daily Schedules/Assignments (See Daily Assignments Module).

Nothing is more frustrating than going to work each day with no idea concerning the jobs you will be asked to perform.  Managers who do not have an extended assessment tool of some kind are putting their periodic workers through an equal level of frustration.  Preventive maintenance is another important reason for designing a periodic program.  The only alternative to prevention is "crisis management" where the customer only gets action after communicating dissatisfaction.  By not having a game plan, you are forced to rely on doing "what needs it."  This method will not bring consistency to your overall cleaning management program.

The following sections will help you through the process of using the Periodic Assignments Module effectively.
