Changing Room Type Cleaning Level

The Room Type Cleaning Level helps to determine how often the room is being cleaned daily or periodically.  Since room types are used as default settings on newly added rooms, it helps to specify how often rooms are going to be cleaned when they are added to the system.  When users have the setting for the Cleaning Level in place, the rooms in the Room form will have a good basis to start.

Below are the steps to change the cleaning level of a room type:

1.  In the Room Types form for a selected Room Type, select the Daily or Periodic tab.  The Daily tab is used in the example below.

The selected room type is the Cafeteria and the Current Cleaning Level is set to Standard.

 

2.  If the Premium or Economy option is selected, notice the changes in the Daily Frequency values as shown below:

In the above Premium Cleaning Level displays, the cleaning code PO has a daily frequency of 5.

In the Economy Cleaning Level displayed above, the PO cleaning code has a daily cleaning frequency of 1.  The examples above exemplify the differences between the three cleaning levels and the respective policing for a room.

3.  Select the cleaning level option you want to apply for the room type.

4.  If necessary, specify changes in the SPC Code & Description and the Daily Frequency.  See Working with SPC Codes Table for a Cleaning Level for more details.

5.  Click on the Save button  to save your changes.  To cancel, click on the Undo button. .

6.  Repeat steps 1 through 5 for every room type you want to update.
