The Between Case / Discharges Tab contain the set of data for hospitals: L&D (Labor & Delivery), OR (Operating Room), and DC (Discharges). You must enter the information in the fields provided.
Below are the fields:
Number of Cases L & D – This field requires the average number of cases of L&D done per day.
L&D Min / Case – This field require the average time it takes to perform this type of cleaning in minutes.
L&D Emp / Case – This field require the number of employees it takes to perform each case.
Days / Week – This field requires the number of days of when the service is provided.
The fields above are components to determine the FTEs for that specific function. They are all L & D related.
The OR fields work the same way as the L&D fields.
Number of Cases OR – This field requires the average number of OR cases done per day.
OR Min / Case – This field require the average time it takes to perform this type of cleaning in minutes.
OR Emp / Case – This field requires the number of employees involved to perform each case
Days / Week – This field requires the number of days when the OR service is provided.
The final set of fields deal with DC or Discharges.
Discharges / Day – This field requires the average number of discharges and transfers done per day.
DC Min / Cleaning – This field requires the amount of time it takes to process a discharge.
DC Days / Week – This field requires the number of days per week the service is provided.
DC% Vol. Flux – This field requires the volume fluctuations. In some cases, you might need a 10% cushion on high volume days.
